Castles and Steam
On some days we offer the Castles & Steam round trip. Spend a day at the Gripsholm and Taxinge castles. Travel in between the castles by our steam trains and the steamboat S/S Mariefred. Note that S/S Mariefred is not operated by ÖSlJ.

The ticket is valid round-trip for two adults and one paying child. Additional children travel free of charge.

50% discount on all one-way and round trip tickets.
Ticketing terms and conditions
- Tickets are sold at the ticket office at Mariefred, Läggesta Nedre, or Taxinge-Näsby. In other cases, tickets are sold by the conductor.
- A ticket is valid for a certain journey, but not a specific train. For this reason we cannot guarantee seating for everyone.
- A ticket is valid for all seats on the train, regardless of “2nd class” or “3rd class” markings.
- A ticket is valid for one month, starting from the purchase date.
- Payment is accepted by card and Swish only.
